Stop Google Play Services from filling up storage while still enabling location services?

Hello everyone,

a few weeks ago Google Play Services suddenly started filling up my entire storage and draining my battery. I have had my Samsung S4 mini for 7 months now and have not experienced this problem before, nor have I downloaded any new applications right before this problem started. After reseting my phone did not work, I looked it up and read that this could be solved by disabling location services, which then also worked for me. I would, however, like to use the location services for other apps such as SnapChat and Pokemon GO. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

There have been other reports of this problem. Two choices... uninstall the Google Play Services update and see if the problem goes away, or check to see if there's a new update that fixes the problem.
