I ordered mine early AM on Feb 5 from Southern California. They credited they money back to my checking account yesterday, still no ship notice. Is that normal, or am I in trouble here?

Google's customer service is okay - but needs to learn from Apple.
I made the mistake of putting the wrong destination address on my order. I didn't realize this until 24 hours after the order was made. Seeing that it wasn't shipped and I didn't have a tracking number, one would figure a quick phone call/changing the address in Google Wallet would rectify this issue - I was wrong. Much to the detrimant of Google CSR and myself, they are unable to change a destination address one hour after putting the information in. I have been in contact with Google nearly everyday since Jan 30 trying to get them to stop the shipment. It's Feb 9 and there's still no success. I realize that it was my mistake for inputing the wrong destination address but it Google should have some ability to change a destination address if the item hasn't even been shipped.
On a different note, I am really excited to get the phone.

I hope you enjoy the phone!
I have heard terrible things about google customer service. Apple customer service really is outstanding though, it makes everywhere else seem so lazy!
Sorry to hear about your experiences, but they should really have some kind of procedure in place since I'm sure a request to change a delivery address is a pretty predictable request. I suppose that's what so great about apple, they have so much control over almost every part of the process which means they can do things a lot of other companies can't.
Apple wouldn't be able to change it after 24 hours either.

I agree that Google does not have control over the shipping process; however, it shouldn't be a shocker that someone would have put the wrong destination address in their order. I have had the opportunity to used Apple customer service and it was never a challenge to start the process or at the very least identify the problem and have someone address it immediately. The problem with Google was such that I was passed on from specialist to representative . Apple, however, would make it so that you would not have to go through multiples representative to get the issue solved.

If it was after the 24 hours, they would have just said to send it back right away. I know, because I had that happen with an iPad. (not the wrong address, but wanted to switch to a different model and they couldn't do it)
Basically, when Google said they couldn't do it, the process had already been started at their warehouse/mailing facility and changes to the order are locked. You're absolutely right that they should have people that can handle the issue without transferring you to another person though.
