so if i buy another Class 4 sd card, im not taking a step back?

I need more storage and there are more class 4 micro sd cards on amazon for pretty cheap. If i am satisfied with the way my 3d has performed so far, is there really a need to upgrade to a class 10 for almost twice as much money.

what theoretical improvements would i see by upgrading to a class 10? would i be able to snap consecutive pictures half a second faster, load my videos or music or pictures slightly faster? because none of that stuff really bothers me so far

mostly it would read and write faster to another device, like moving files back and forth from a computer. Also, less likely to fail because of read/write issues.
