I hate to be the pessimist but i highly doubt it'll be out in January or maybe even Feb. Usually when i hear Q1 or "early 2012" i think April-ish is more likely. In any case on xda theres an ICS alpha devs are working on, hopefully there's enough progress with it where we can use that until an official release fills in the missing gaps.

Im betting this whole Carrier IQ ordeal is going to further delay ICS since HTC is caught in the middle....

There was an article i read on engadget a few weeks ago that listed the first HTC phones that will get the update to Ics at the end of March. Unfortunately the evo 3d was not one of them. Article said it was still uncertain when it would hit the 3d but one thing is certain, it won't be by the end of March.
