gingerbread and shut down complaint

anyone else notice when u shut down ur phones its really putting it into sleep mode? i dont like that. if i want full hard shut down ill need to reboot the phone instead...

i noticed this when last night i shuut down phone and turned it on it took 5 seconds to come back up... loaded animation then stopped midway and bam! in at the main screen and the same lil apps were background loaded from last night...

i did a reboot and it cleared out everything and did the usual 1 minute sartup process with the logo and everything.

whats up with that?!

It takes my phone at least 2-3 minutes to restart..

You can go into settings and uncheck fast boot and it will shut down like it used to

Thank you - in advance. I have been having problems with my phone rebooting on its own and I think it has to do with the "sleep" instead of it being off for real.
I changed this setting and now I hope it fixes it for me.
