In a high school auditorium. If anyone has already gone through this with their One, I'd appreciate any suggestions. I can and will play with some test shots when I get in there, and I've experimented with it on my own, including Zoes and video "montages". But I would love to hear any other tips, tricks, or experiences. That includes:

  • any interesting ideas on how to use the Zoe feature for some unusual tricks
  • which mode(s) to use in which situations (I assume night?)
  • if/when to use the flash
  • should I tweak the ISO or white balance settings?
  • should I consider HDR? (I'm guessing not for indoors, evening.)
  • should I use face detection if I'm not terribly close?
  • video quality setting suggestions?
I'm no shutterbug by any stretch, but I'm competent if given some good advice.

TIA!

Don't use night mode unless you are taking a night time scenic picture - buildings with lights, that sort of thing.

I would go auto iso. You may need to tweak whitebalance test it and see if you can find a better color rendition then auto.

Never use flash, lol

Probalby not HDR unless there could be circumstances with large variation in light and no movment.

Face detection shouldn't matter.

Use zoes a lot!
