water issues

It rained heavily recently... I had kept my htc one in a backpack... Some water managed to seep in and now my volume rockers are non responsive... I am not able to change the volume and take screenshots.
Also my headphone jack is not working...
What do I do??

Shut the phone off and stick it in a bag or Tupperware full of rice.. Let it sit in it for a day or 2... The rice will soak up any moisture in the phone. If still does not work, factory reset it. If not its probably time for a new one..
