HTC One (M8) 4G connectivity issues

Hi,

I have bought one HTC One M8 from one store in UAE, but understand from HTC Support from Middle East that based on the IMEI number, this set is manufactured in Brazil.

The problem which I'm facing is, my mobile is not picking the 4G network of Etisalat, i have tried all possible ways but not getting it. Please let me know what could be the problem for the set to pick up the Etisalat mobile network in Dubai, UAE.

Also would like to know how can we resolve this issue. If I'm not able to 4G this phone will be of no use for me , so kindly help and advise.

I have checked again and found the below

Etisalat is LTE 2600MHz or 1800MHz
Brazil is LTE 2600 MHz and as per phone specification

4G Network
LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2600 - EMEA
LTE 700 / 1700 / 2100 - T-Mobile
LTE 700 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 - Asia
LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600 - AT&T

My doubt is if etisalat in Dubai is LTE 2600, why my phone is not getting 4G? How can we find out what is etisalat LTE exactly?

Can software update help to fix this issue?

Not sure about that , but you can look this page and call the service center
IF Etisalat provide the "Network Data Services", because check the Network Data Services ,it's empty.

Thanks Griffin,

My doubt is why this 2 bands 1800/2600. How can we know which is used? if its 1800,can we do something to make it 2600 so that 4G can be connected. Or Can my phone setting be changed somehow to make same as of etisalat specfication.

Do you have the right sim card ? This phone uses a sim card for 4G LTE
