lockscreen music player?

I'm guessing Spotify lockscreen player being disabled is a emui thing now. Didn't work on my honor 8 either no matter which lockscreen I use.

Do you have music locally? You can try PowerAmp.

Locally the play will show up. Spotify specifically doesn't show up on the lockscreen. Oddly I went to download apple music just to try and it says it's not compatible. Which is odd because my honor 8 is compatible.

I was able to download the apple music APK and it works flawlessly and it has the lockscreen player. I cannot get Google play music to work at all. I have the subscription and even you tube red works. Play music only allows me to start a radio station and that fails every time. This phone is really starting to **** me off and I have had it less than 24 hours.
