Hi
I've tried updating my phone to the custom 4.4 rom, but now I want to go back to Cyanogenmod.

But how do i do it?

I can't seem to access recovery, because apparently my root is gone.
I've tried numerous guides on how to root my phone, but none of them worked!

It either says:
error: device not found
or stuck on
daemon started successfully

I've tried Docomo OptimusG Root, DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit, motochopper, ZV9-JB-ROOT and some unnamed rooting methods
What am I doing wrong?

Help, please!

If you still have your custom recovery, go ahead an flash CM. I think CM is a rooted ROM anyway.

How can I do that? I'm not rooted and when I try to restart to recovery, nothing happens.

EDIT: By the way, CWM suddenly doesn't recognize my phone anymore, so I have to set it to Optimus G manually... Maybe that's why recovery doesn't work?

So no recovery, and no backup of your ROM?
The only thing I can suggest is to reflash your stock ROM. However, I am unfamiliar with LG products and procedures.

I've tried to restart to recovery with TWRP, and it worked.
But if I try to flash pacman-rom, it says failed:
Updating partition details...
Installing '/sdcard/pac.zip'...
Checken for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found.
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "e975" || getprop("ro.bui
E:Error executing updater binary in zip 'sdcard/pac.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/pac.zip'

Good news!
I used TWRP to install CWM and with CWM I was able to install Pacman-rom.
Pacman-rom had already root built in - problem solved.
And I just found out, that for some reason, my adb works now!

Thank you :)

First things first. Do you have usb debugging enabled? None of those rooting programs will work if it isn't. If you do then we will go from there and try some other things

Could've just used framaroot to root its an apk so no computer needed and then downloaded freegee from the app store to unlock your bootloader and install a custom recovery aka TWRP is the best CWM sucks major a** thats the way I did it and worked like a charm first time no issues at all probably keep this in mind next time this happens...

@putsometrebleinit: Yes, I had usb-debugging enabled.
@slinkies: I tried framaroot, but it didn't work.
TWRP didn't work for me since it said error while trying to install a new rom, but CWM worked fine.

I know that when u flash aosp 4.4 you need to flash these in order at same time flash ROM flash gapps and flash supersu that's what I did and it work perfect I have the sprint variant tho and I believe for the e975 you had to flash a new kernel as well to get to run.

I tried both exploit and I got an error both times (can't remember which one)
I didn't flash supersu, that was probably the reason why root didn't work then...

Yea that's why luckily mine booted but no option to reboot recovery so downloaded an app that got me there and fixed my issue I love KitKat tho its incredibly smooth I'd say try it again flashing supersu with everything else also get the kernel that needs flashed to work on your variant as I know the e975 needs a kernel flashed as well and you won't regret it...
