Well since its a low Res camera to begin with, I never looked around. Its not a horrible camera but it is very basic.

I use FXcamera from the market as my alternative to the stock camera.

I adore vignette, but it isn't free. but there are a lot of different effects, if you were going for the fake low-fi camera thing.

here's some examples (and yeah, I take a lot of pictures of my dog)

I've used it without effects too and can't tell a difference between it and stock (I don't think I should?), but I do like that hitting anywhere on the touchscreen gives you a little button where you touched and then you can make it refocus or take the pic.

Wow, those are nice pics! I'm trying to find an app that will allow me to 'zoom', when using the phone's video camera to record.

I just tried to open the video camera in vignette and couldn't figure out how, so if it is possible, it's not super easy. though I think it's just pictures only. sorry! maybe search for an app specifically for taking videos? I don't remember being able to open the video camera in camerafx or retro camera when I used them, but those are the only other camera apps I've tried.

I enjoyed camera 360 ultimate on my XDAndroid TP2 and hope it works for optimus S once I root it.
