Silver because it is essentially polished bare metal. Black coating is probably vapour deposition? Or DLC? Anyway, not a black ceramic as used by Rado so I suspect it will scratch back to bare metal. We'll have to wait and see.

That's what worries me as well. Plus a bare stainless steel watch IMHO looks more classy and premium than the black. If I could swing both it'd be great, since black is usually the color I go with, but there is something about the bare steel look if it's done right, like the old Harman Kardon stereo equipment.
