What is the correct setting for preferred network type on VZ?

Correct setting for preferred network type on VZ

Hi all, a quick question about the Moto X on VZ. I was messing around with the settings today to make sure I know what to change for an upcoming visit to the UK. I'm going to get a local sim there, the VZ Global plan is crazy expensive, but I think I may have changed something and now not sure if it's back to the correct setting and I don't want to get hit with some strange bill item.

Under settings>more>mobile network>preferred network type, for VZ should LTE/CDMA be the one checked or Global? (I know when I get to the UK I have to change it to LTE/GSM/UMTS).

By the way, calling VZ is a tad frustrating. When I called to ask if I have to change some settings to use a UK sim, the first rep told me their tech dept. has to unlock the phone to able to use it over there, so he switches me over. 5 mins later a tech gets on and says no, that's the Global Support Team who does that, so he switches me to them. 5 minutes later a Global rep comes on and says no the X is already unlocked. Oy.
