Can anyone say if an AT&T unlocked Moto X would work on T-Mobile LTE? It looks like it has all the right bands....?

This is from Negri Electronics' site: Motorola Moto X 16GB (AT&T) (Unlocked) (White)

SPECIFICATIONS:

GENERAL 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100

Thanks in advance!

Yes... it will work. You will just need to put a T-Mobile sim in the phone and change the APN setting from AT&T to that of T-Mobile. Thus the advantage of an unlocked phone... freedom!

Thanks Greg - I definitely know that will work, but I guess my concern is, will it be able to get LTE speeds? I know you can take any unlocked phone and put a T-Mobile SIM in and get EDGE, but I'm just trying to make sure I'll get LTE, too, you know?

U will get hspa+ and lte with an unlocked att phone on T-Mobile as long as u are in a refarmed T-Mobile market. I'm in Chicago and get this on lte.

Yup. I was concerned about this too but I'm in an area that's been refarmed but also have T-Mobile LTE in surrounding areas so I would be good with an unlocked Moto X as well but I opted for an LTE SIM from Metro PCS just to make sure I'd always have proper LTE somewhere. Though I'm a bit hesitant as I was browsing through Motorola's site I saw the T-Mobile logo on the "How to Buy" page and T-Mobile has the Moto X listed on it's support page, so I'm debating whether or not to stick it out with my GS3 until an official T-Mobile announcement.

you can buy one from moto maker even if your not an att customer. Just pay full retail and its yours, select no contract and its yours. But it still will come with the att branding on the back :-(

Just a heads up. If your not in the refarmed 1900mhz area (4G LTE). Your phone will need 1700mhz and also 2100mhz to get 4G/3G. This the only site that I see the 2100mhz listed. No other info anywhere suggests that the att moto x supports 2100mhz. This leads me to believe that it will only get edge support and LTE support. No 3G aka (T-Mobile 4G)

I called att and they said they would unlock it over the phone as long as it meets their criteria. Which is paid in full, not reported lost or stolen, not currently in a contract and of course a AT&T phone.

I looked at the att unlock site and it doesn't mention price and it doesn't mention that case if you paid the full price for a phone and you didn't buy any service. But if you continue on the process there's an option for non-customer. I really want a custom one in hungary.
