Sholes 2.0.5 is here.

hey all, just wondering if anyone has tried the new 2.0.5 for sholes yet? im downloading now. from the comments at sholes.info it looks pretty bad ass. lemme know what yall think.

Running it now the keyboard and screen are much better love the 1.2 ghz overclock give it a shot if you like the previous you'll love this one

The main thing is they updated the kernel which is great. But as far as stability I see no ill effects even running at 1.2 ghz 1.3 started to give me problems

I had a hard time going to sleep last night, so about 2:30 am I decided to fiddle with the phone to see if I could get sleepy. Well, guess what? Therfe was sholes 2.0.5. When I went to bed it was 2.0.4 rc1

I had to do the install twice. On the first try, it got to 62% downloaded and froze. I had to pull the battery and start over. That time worked like a charm. I think the problem was a drop away from3G coverage into 1X at just the right/wrong time.

Mine is WAY better on 2.0.5 than any 2.0.3 version. CPU benchmarks are about 15% faster than with 2.0.3 @ 1GhZ (2.0.5 @1GhZ too). 2.0.5 seems faster @800 than 2.0.3 did @1000. 1.2 GhZ seems much faster than the previous high of 1 GhZ. That may be because the 2.1 launcer is absent from 2.0.5. I did use it with 2.0.3. Since 2.0.3 didn't give me any problems like others reported with the 2.1 launcher, I figured I just lucked out. It was a bit of a pain in the neck having to reconstitute all of the home screens, but I'm sort of glad I did, because every time I do it I manage to get the total arrangement a little more to my liking. The phone is noticeably faster than 2.0.3 with the 2.1 launcher at the same CPU speed. So don't mourn much for that loss. It is really a gain.

The keyboard is a lot better too.

My Droid is completely happy with 2.0.5 and seems quite stable @ 1.2GhZ. No battery temp yet over 35*C. But I am not a real power user.

Downloading now. I had Bugless beast and it kept freezing my phone and restarting. Sholes been good to me.

i re installed the launcher...i love it and have had zero problems with it. im runnin 1ghz, and it legit. fast. i cannot believe the guys over there are doing all this for free,i donated twice. they rock over there. seriously.

on setcpu, for overclockin....dont know what to put on there for maximum efficiency.

Then try it go above 1 ghz. It wont hurt your phone if your chip can't handle it you will reboot then you know your Max

600 min 250 for everything but sleep that's 250 min max

Yeah last night I got pissed with 2.1 and restored to sholes woke up and this was out so loaded this don'think I'm leaving for a while I Luke the keyboard I can type as fast as I want and it keeps up again

All in all, I am at 1GHz and its running fine. No delays nor lags. When I sleep I will set the profile to 250 or 550.
