Adding email on Droid Turbo

I have a Motorola Droid Turbo. When I first got the phone, I set up my email account (Comcast). Yesterday I had to delete it because it kept saying I had an unread message, when in fact, I didn't. When I first set up the account, I was able to just receive incoming emails without bringing over my entire email including my folders. It won't let me do a manual set up. It forces me to bring over my entire email including my folders which I don't want.

Is this the way it is now or is there a way not to bring over my folders? Thank you in advance !

Are you using the stock email app or are you using gmail?

Are you going through the factory email app, or are you using something from Android market?

It depends on if you are using POP3 or IMAP protocol to set up the account. POP3 limits you to the inbox and any local folders, while IMAP syncs the account over multiple devices. I suggest looking on the Comcast site and see if they even offer the POP3 setup anymore.
