My Phone Keeps Whispering To Me...

I don't know why my phone started doing it, but it's sitting next to me on the charger as I sit here and watch Cincinati get rolled by New England. It keeps saying "loss of service, verizon wireless." even though I'm in service and it has never done that before. Also, when I connect to a call it just says "Verizon Wireless" and starts ringing... what the hell? Any ideas?

Go in settings and Sounds and Display Settings and disable Roaming Tone, Network Lost Tone and Call Connect if any are checked, this is a common issue with the notification setting and it can be a pain.
