How can I get my fingerprint enrollment working?

Fingerprint enrollment not working

Got my Nexus 6P a few days ago. One of the first things I did was add a fingerprint. It went fine the first time.

Since then, I've had fingerprint unlocking fail one too many times, so I deleted my fingerprint to start over, thinking maybe that would help. But now, all I get is an acknowledgment for the first fingerprint entry, then nothing ... it keeps failing saying "Enrollment was not completed".

I've tried many times and tried a different finger. Makes no difference. Also cleaned my fingers and the reader. No difference.

Did I get a dud, or is this technology just crap?

Did you ever figure out a way around the enrollment issue?

I'm running into that same issue now. Got a new 6P because of a dud charging port and I keep getting this error after I imported my nandroid backup.

Not sure if this is helpful but I had to request a new 6P because the fingerprint reader just stopped working entirely. Maybe yours is defective too?
