Delightfully bitter.
I was introduced to Campari on a Winter cross-country ski trip in Austria. It came in little bottles already mixed with sparkling water. I was immediately addicted. I would buy a ten pack and have one at the end of a skiing day or in Summer, a hiking day. It had just the right amount of alcohol to give me, a light drinker, a buzz. And the bitter was just perfectly refreshing.

Not that I gave that up, but on the last three trips to the Dolomites, I also discovered the Hugo. Nice and refreshing. The Elder flower grows there, so it's a natural.
