I have heard great things about [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].
I use [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], that I scored for free at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. This site gives away free software, different each day, and they rotate through some nice video rippers at least monthly, so keep your eye on the site if Handbrake isn't a good solution for you.
I usually recommend uTorrent and isohunt.com. ripping dvds is time consuming and frustrating.
I also use tTorrent to download videos right to my Android device.

I use DVD Catalyst 4 ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]). It's not free (there is a free trial though) but it's well supported and allows you to optimize for the device you own, including the GN 10.1. Worth the the $9.95 IMO.
Handbrake is free and does a good job most of the time. I mainly use Wondershare due to its quick rendering and one step process.
I've been using DVD Catalyst 4 and it is really simple to use. It is well worth the $9.95.
Another post for DVD Catalyst. I think it's the best. Really well worth the $9.95.
Highly recommend leawo [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] to you. I have use it for a period of time and find it really powerful. Worth to have a try.
I've been using DVDFAB ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]) for a number of years. Not free, but you can get a free trial. It not only rips for putting movies on your device, but will create backup DVDs if you'd like.
