phone calls random people

My phone randomly calls people that I did not ask it to. Today it dialed a person who wasnt even in my contact list anymore....I had deleted them a month ago. I'm not using any weird apps just stock phone dialer. I selected someone in my recently called....what gives???

I have noticed on Verizon Cloud, if I delete a contact on my phone, the cloud will re install that contact when it syncs. You have to go to Verizon, or whoever provider you use and delete the contact from their cloud. As far as the calling I have know clue why that's happening.

I'm with att. Today I literally selected person x from my contact list and it dialed person y, who I had deleted a month ago. Happened several times now

The only thing I can think of would be to do a contact back up with Google or similar, and delete all contacts. Then re install. Just a poke, but that's what I would do. What phone is it?
