KlearKare screen protector for Note Edge reinstallation.

Is regular water recommended for use for the installation of the screen protector? After completing the initial installation process, I noticed a piece of red lint trapped under the protector. I have used up almost all of the original installation solution, and I would like to know if water is an acceptable alternative.

I have not even thought of using water as a replacement. You must have had a dickens of a time trying to put the film on the screen! But I would just hypothesize that it's needs the original solution as opposed to water. The Klear Kare film was the first thing I ordered from Amazon for my phone.
