Gmail unread mail issue.

Is anyone having an issue with using a Gmail account with the default email app? I noticed yesterday that every time my account syncs with the Gmail servers all my mail gets flagged as "unread".

... And before there's a comment saying to use the Gmail client, I would rather have all my email sync in one place and the Gmail app is always set to push sync.

Have you set up Gmail with Microsoft Exchange? That's what I've always used, never had any issues.

In accounts and settings my Gmail account only says "email". My Hotmail and work account says Microsoft exchange/active sync.

Update:

I deleted the Google account and added it again. Then I cleared the cache for the email program and now it's working.

Is this with out using exchange? Do you still get push on the regular email?

I believe that this is without using exchange. It still says "e-mail" under the account. I do not have push set-up on any of my accounts because of the amount of e-mails I get during a weekday.
