Samsung Galaxy S4 overheated and now frozen. What do I do?

Samsung Galaxy S4 overheated and now frozen.

I literally just woke up and I saw my phone on just the ''Samsung'' part in the reboot progress frozen, it felt really hot so I decided to take out the battery and let it cool down. Once I did that, the phone would vibrate and then boot itself to the ''Samsung Galaxy S4'' screen for a split second and then just not work. I could do it several times so the screen is fine but I have no idea how to access into my phone. I've tried a heap of forums like this one searching but I got no information on what to do.

Try a new battery, perhaps? Though it may be something else.
