Why don't I have a software update option on my device?

No software update option on my device

Recently I bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 device from a ebay (Chinese) seller.

The phone was shipped with Android 4.4.2 version, but there are no Software Update option (Settings --> About Device). Also checked with Smart Switch app there too phone is recognized but no updates available.

Anyone help me understand why there is no software update option in my phone.

Welcome to Android Central! It might be a counterfeit S4, or it might be a rooted phone with a custom ROM installed. There are many articles and videos on the web that can show you how to spot a counterfeit--here's one:

You can also check to see if your phone is rooted by installing Root Checker.

Yes I installed cpu z and also rooter check my cpu z says processor qulaum snapdragon and device is rooted so what can I do
