Heart rate sensor flashes when touched no health app on

I have a problem with the heart rate sensor. I don't have no health apps open. I use google fit and some of my apps are connected to it. But while I'm using my phone and i put my finger over the sensor it lights up red! Even a blanket lights it up. I don't know why it started doing this. Its kind of getting annoying. Please help.

Has your phone been recently updated to Lollipop? I believe there's a bug with the S5 Lollipop update and Google Fit, unfortunately, that seems to make the Heartrate monitor go wonky. Try disabling or uninstalling Google Fit and see if that is, indeed, the issue.

Thank you so much! I uninstall Google fit and did a restart and now it's gone.

Glad I could help, and I'm sorry you had to uninstall Fit (since you seem to actually use it) for this to work. Let's hope the bug is fixed and updated soon.

Its okay. I can find other fitness trackers
