How can I unlock my Galaxy S5 if I forgot the alternative password?

my galaxy s5 is locked , it is showing now alternative password option only, no figer print option...., i am not remembering alternative password bcause i am using only finger print.. how can i unlock my phone , can you help me please?

Hello!
I would try logging into your Google Account on a PC and then go to Android Device Manager (https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager). From there you can setup a new password and GPS/Locate your device.

The android device manager is giving me a message saying that there is already a lock in place so I wont need my new password.
I really want to take it off the fingerprint lock screen!!! Please help!

If i'm right, when you can't login with fingerprint, alter. password, you can also unlock your phone by using your Google account..

I had this same issue a couple of weeks ago while helping someone activate a SIM card for a tablet. Switching the SIM cards caused my phone to require Alt password and not allowing me to use fingerprint. I couldn't get it to accept any passwords, Google Device Manager didn't work, Samsung Find My Mobile didn't work, and AVG Anti Theft didn't work. I had to do a factory reset. Sorry....
