Re: how do I increase time between chargings on Galaxy S5?
Welcome to Android Central! Batteries will normally deteriorate over time, and the rate of their decline can depend on several factors, such as your charging habits and potential manufacturing defects. If you habitually let the battery drain pretty low (like down to zero, or the single digits), those deep discharges can reduce the overall battery lifespan. Ideally, you should make a habit of charging up when the battery reaches 30-40%.
Other factors may be in play as well, such as poor signal. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:
1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).
