Why can't the files on my S5 be read by my computer after the most recent big update?

Every time I connect to my computer now, it says my phone is empty. I have never had this problem before. This has only recently happened after the newest big update.

Have you swiped down and opened the USB connection tab. with the update the default is charging only for the connection. you need to choose one of the options for file transfer, then the device will show up on your computer
