Galaxy S5. Why can't the other party hear me?

galaxy s5. Why can't other party hear me?

In the middle of a phone conversation, my galaxy s5 goes quiet, as if I have dropped the call, but say's I am still connected to the other party. I cannot hear them, but they can hear me. If I disconnect the call and call them back all is normal again for a few minutes, then the situation with me not being able to hear them happens again

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen with any call, or only with a particular contact? Is your cell signal strong when this happens? I'd start by discussing it with your carrier.
