Calling from Bluetooth in vehicle?

A

AC Question

I have a 2015 Chevy Trax and my Bluetooth connection to my S6 is fine, other than the fact that when I press my steering wheel button to call, it says something along the lines of "This device is not compatible with that" Any ideas/suggestions for that?

Also, when I plug in to my USB port, it only comes up with Picture/Video multimedia. No music. Which is slightly frustrating as Bluetooth streaming obviously takes battery life away

Welcome to Android Central! For the call button issue, go to Settings>Bluetooth, tap the settings icon next to the car entry, and make sure Phone Audio is checked on.

It's not common for Android devices to be compatible with car stereo USB ports--those are often meant for USB flash drives. Does the car manual say specifically that it's compatible with Android phones when plugged in via USB? Bluetooth doesn't actually use that much battery--and if it's an issue for you, just keep the phone plugged into the car's power outlet.
