Can't keep apps from going to sleep GS7 Nougat

So my Verizon Samsung GS7 Edge finally updated to Nougat a few weeks ago and I'm having issues with certain apps going to sleep when my phone isn't charging. If I forget to plug my phone in before bed my alarm clock app goes to sleep and doesn't go off in the morning, which is a huge problem. I also have a radio station app that goes to sleep every 5 minutes, which is less critical than the alarm clock but still annoying. I've added both apps to the "Unmonitored" list in the battery settings but that hasn't helped. Am I missing another setting somewhere?

Wow, the alarm app shouldn't be going to sleep. Are you using the stock alarm app, or a 3rd party?

You can try in the Battery settings, tap the menu icon in the top right and click "Advanced settings." From there, turn off "App power monitor" completely. If that doesn't solve the problem, then it's not a power issue.
