KIES is dead but what do I use ?

when I try to use KIES 3 with my new S7 its tells me not supported and install SmartSwitch

I did but it only seems to offer backup/restore/outlook sync

Where is option to add video or music which is what I use Kies for ?

It only shows 3 options ... there are 3 'buttons'
backup restore and outlook sync

no other buttons or options for adding music and the other stuff KIES did.

Am I missing something?

Yes. When the phone is connected to the computer it becomes a hard drive on the computer and you can copy to and fro with windows explorer.

But that has always been the case ... yes I can 'drive down to find the folder to put stuff in, the KIES app added a better way ... click on music or photos and it showed all on the device - wherever they were stored.
Seems strange they say use 'Smartswitch' but really that is only for transfer or settings, backup & restore .......... almost all other KIES functionality is gone.
