galaxy tab 2 10.1 problem with secure sites

My tab2 has suddenly developed a problem in that I cannot load secure sites with internet app but can with chrome. I get message 'can't establish a secure connection'. Anyone experienced similar problem?

Welcome to Android Central! Moved from the Note 10.1 Rooting forum to the Tab 2 10.1 forum. Is the tablet rooted, or did you initially post there by mistake?

By mistake. What is meant by 'rooted'?

Rooting a device means gaining superuser access that allows you to modify more things on a system level. It's not recommended for beginners.

Does your problem only occur on your home wi-fi network, or any network?
