Sync and (unwanted) Desktop emails

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is my first tablet and it's Wi-Fi only.

I use a desktop with IE 7 and Comcast.

For email I use Thunderbird with 3 email addresses
and 1 Yahoo email address as a throwaway.

For some reason many or most of the emails to my Comcast addresses are showing up on my desktop and tablet.

Google searches made on the desktop and the results are also showing up on the tablet. I don't need or really want the above on the tablet. Can anyone advise how to prevent the above ?

I also have Gmail on the tablet which I can of course use on any device.

Hoping for assistance,

Thanks,

Vindibouy

Re: Sync and (unwanted) Desktop emails

Welcome to Android Central! Are any of the 3 non-Yahoo email addresses on Thunderbird from Comcast? How do you have your Email app set up on your Tab Pro? Do you have your Comcast email set to forward to any of the other email addresses?

Google search history is synced across all devices that are logged into the same Google account. So any Google search you do on the computer (while you're logged into your Google account) will be remembered on the tablet as well. If you don't want to search history to show up on the tablet, then you could do the searches on the computer while not logged into Google. If you use Chrome, you could do the searches in Incognito Mode.
