Just bought a tab, is it locked? (bad esn)??

I just bought a used samsung tab 7" for Sprint.
I called about the ESN and it is clear and not stolen, however it is on an account that is delinquent and Sprint will not add it to my account because of this.

Am i stuck with using this only on WIFI or can it be used on my account somehow?
