Delete wrong gmail account

I entered the wrong gmail account on the bosses phone. I went to the gmail account on the computer and deleted the account, thinking it would delete it on the Samsung Moment. This did not work, it has a message stating that this account is inoperable and now he is not able to enter the market place. Is there a way to delete the account without a hard set?

I just asked Sprint if I could delete my Google account from my Samsung and then re-enter the same account again because I think I have a very small glitch either on the phone or its the Google server - any ways Sprint said you can not delete and add the same acount to the same phone without a factory hard reset - I don't know it that answered your question
