My boyfriend just got his phone after switching from the blackberry curve and hates the calendar. He liked that on his blackberry you just click a day to add you event and start typing. Also for the life of us, we can't find anywhere to set default reminders. Does anyone know? Is there an app that is closer in functionality to the blackberry?

Default reminders can be set under options (remember, the menu key is vital in Android - it will bring you to the default reminder option selector). As for new events, there is a limitation in the Froyo calendar. You have to touch a day in the "month" view in order to create a new event for that day. If you start creating a new event in any other view, the date is almost always different from what you want. As for a calendar app, you are probably going to have luck playing with calendar widgets, as they feed into the Anroid calendar, and therefore your Google calendar. Try S2 Calendar. It's small, attractive, and might replicate the ease of input the Blackberry had.
