At these prices, it might be wise to at least wait for reviews first. Of course then you won't have the excitement of getting it on day one. Guess you could always return it, but it's hard to let go of something sometimes.

I own both a 1080p Nexus 5X with Google Cardboard and a QHD S7 Edge with Gear VR. While the S7 edge does look better, it doesn't look that much better. Both look fairly pixelated. And part of the reason the S7 Edge looks a little better could be because the Gear VR headset is just nicer...

I ordered through The Loop app about 10 minutes before the web page ordering went live and got a shipping notification from DHL the same day I think. It will be here tomorrow. I just chose the free shipping, not expedited.

I agree that it's a bit overrated. Overall, the photo taking "experience" is probably the best I've ever had due to the quick home button double press to launch, super fast focus and capture, excellent ability to automatically detect when HDR is needed, great manual controls, and bright screen...

I do disable full blown apps that show up in the app drawer if I know I'm not going to use them, but I don't go disabling every service and apk known to man unless A) it's running in the background even though I don't use it or B) it's causing a specific problem like it's force closing or...

Did anyone else experiencing lag turn off "Annotations and in-video notifications" on the YouTube desktop site settings? I turned it back on and it may have fixed the issue, although the issue was somewhat sporadic before so it could be coincidence.

Re: Galaxy S7 Edge cases I actually bought the red one but returned it because the power button was really hard to press with it on. Case looked and felt great though.

I tried that and it didn't help me. Still get some stuttering after a minute when I set YouTube videos to 1440p.

I like the bigger screen, I like the bigger battery, and I think the Edge just looks cooler than the regular. No regrets.
