Samsung proclaim root issues

I used AndroidArea51.com's rooted kernel for the Proclaim, the test kernel worked perfectly. Though I had to fix the SD card issue, but that was a verry simple fix.

How exactly do you do the sdcard fix? I am in the adb shell but don't know what to type. I cant find any guides.

For those confused about how to fix the sd card as cd drive problem, here is a step by step:

Make sure superuser is installed
Get ES file explorer
In the settings for ES, enable root access / editing.
Browse to /etc/vold.fstab
Edit with the es text utility deal
Edit the line in the vold.fstab file that says "ums_path = /sys/devices/platform/usb_mass_storage/lun0/file"
Change the lun0 to lun1
Save it
Reboot.

Yep this will fix the issue. I used it to fix my issue after rooting.

i figured it out...you have to tick "root explorer" and you have to tick "mount file system" both...i was only ticking the root explorer option....

Update. Now, when I boot the phone, it stays on a screen with the Samsung logo and a yellow triangle underneath.

Download mode.
Stock rooter odin tar
Push
Wait
Enjoy

Then cwm install any custom rom

Bear in mind I have never worked with thie phone. But a slew of other samsungs
