Xperia Z1s: Front-Facing Camera Issues

Has anyone used the front facing camera on the Z1S? I have at BEST mediocre shots with it. There always seems to be a lot of fuzz and over processing going on. It is less noticeable in ideal lighting, but even in slightly dim lighting its extremely grainy.

Are you using auto mode? I'm getting as good as usual. I used to have an S4.

It looks like you're in low light mode?

Not really. I'm not on the best of light but it's not low by any means there's a light hanging from the ceiling slightly off to the right of my head.

Hey man, I'm pretty much having the same issues as you. Super grainy front pictures. HDR mode makes it better but still ridiculous for the specs and this phone. I don't have Tmobile but I kinda want to check the display model in store and compare it to mine, and maybe somehow get a replacement if its just a bad batch or something.
