This is my first Android phone. I love it, but not being able to pinch to zoom in the Gmail app is driving me nuts. Scrolling up-down-left-right just to read an email is a pain in the a$$. Am I missing something? The standard email app that comes w/ the phone has this feature, but I don't like the fact that email isn't pushed. So I stopped using it. Anybody have some advice? Thanks.

What if you changed your settings on the stock email setup, to retrieve every 5min? It may drain your battery some, but at least you would get your messages pretty promptly.

Seems like I only have to scroll if there are pictures in the email. Zooming out to see the whole email would make the text too small to read. I think panning with your finger is easier. But it would be nice to have that feature.

what is the difference between the push on the gmail app vs the stock app's check every 5 minute?

the gmail app can't allow push. That's a feature of the gmail servers..

The stock app does not allow for gmail to push as the gmail app does.

It's an android phone, you should get email in real time using the gmail app.
