Can't Use Outlook without syncing

So now after upgrading to 4.1.2, the app for outlook won't allow you to use it with out you syncing everything. I think al these email and social apps ate getting way out of hand wanting to sync your contacts.

Are you sure? I don't have anything synced. Did you check the settings from within the app?

What app are you using? The built-in stock email app doesn't require crazy sync permissions like that. But with active-sync you should be using something like touchdown to get your exchange emails on your phone anyways. Yea the full unlock is $20, but do you really want to give your I.T. admin the power to completely wipe your phone remotely without you even doing anything? You can't do anything to stop the meta email that will tell your phone to reset itself either, fyi
