How to fix non-fullscreen apps

Since the gingerbread update, i've had some issues with some apps not being fullscreen. I recently found a fix to this problem, and i thought i'd share.
Problem:
-older apps are being run in compatability mode
-android does not allow you to turn off compatability mode (at least, not while unrooted. idk)

Solution:
- Download "Spare Parts" from android market
- Launch, and uncheck "compatability mode"
