How well does it work in low signal areas?

Anyone have a feel for how this phone works in low signal areas? I know that my wife's old BB Curve always works a little better than my Centro in low signal conditions. Is it better or worse than a Curve? Anyone have other phones they want to compare their call quality with?

There's a well known dead spot on my way home from work - I haven't had occasion to be on the phone there yet, but I'll make a point to make some calls in the next couple of days...

Well at my house, I usually end up riding the Edge Network with 1 - 3 bars and even at one bar, calls seem crystal clear compared to my Bold 9000, and other people have stated that I sounded great even on one bar. The Bold 9000 sounded great but at 1 bar it started to break up on both ends.
