With 9 million pre-orders and a UK release date of 5/29, any thoughts on when AT&T might start pre-orders? Is there any clue on a US release? Father's Day weekend?

I think all we know is the SG3 will be released sometime, somewhere, and somehow in the US. When and what carriers remains a mystery.

That said, it does seem reasonable that all 4 main US carriers will get the SG3, hopefully at the same time. Date of release to be announced in June, but I would not be surprised if it was not in US hands until later.

Amazon already is listing accessories for the T-Mo and att versions. Makes me think sooner, rather than later

Curious that we haven't heard more about this 10 city world tour yet though.

Phandroid is reporting those 2 versions have passed bluetooth certification as well.
They are also saying the US versions will sport the 2gb, like Japan.

It at least clears the way for US carrier internal and field testing. Who knows...within 30 to 45 days later...

Accessories for the AT&T and TMO variants have hit Amazon as well as SIM-free units for $799. Betting AT&T prices the SG3 at $299 for 2 year contract. This would be a bit higher than their usual smartphone pricepoint. Is the customary for Android devices?

I believe that AT&T was the application that was approved on May 14th.

That device has ATT 3g bands(hspa+) but not LTE. This is the same as the international. I believe the model number was I9300 as well, same as international.
A version specifically to be released on ATT will have LTE and a model number consistant with ATT Samsung phones. Last I heard, the ATT should be SGH-i747

I guess the two articles mentioned in a very recent thread reference a June 1st release date. May not be credible.

I think 299 on contract would be a bit high. I am thinking 249 on contract, 599 off...at least I hope it is not more than that. The Galaxy Note was 299 but not available on any other carrier. I think middle to late June launch on AT&T.
The One X is 199 and 549 so I think they will split the difference between the One X and Galaxy Note.

$249 is a high price point versus RIM devices. The $249 may be for the 16GB version. Maybe $349 for the 32GB?

I would not be surprised to see them start off at $299 or try to raise it higher sadly. Just this past week I read that phone providers want to lower the amount of subsidies on the phones they sell.

My phone died yesterday & will buy the S3 as soon as it is available. Really irritating that it is being released in Europe in a few days, yet no date for the U.S.

With new stories, credible or not, showing up with more frequency and the Canada new story would seem to corroborate a date some time in June. The sooner the better.
