after 4.4 update phone will randomly restart, need help

I recently updated my s3 with the 4.4 update and now my phone will randomly restart on its own and its very frustrating. Some of my texts won't come thru til bout 30 minutes after it was sent. I'm not too familiar with software and things like that but any info would be helpful.

Welcome to the forums!

You should start by rebooting into Recovery mode and clearing the system cache. If that doesn't help then it's time for a Factory Reset (be sure to backup any important information before you do that).

Before you commit to a factory reset, check that you don't have any ringtones in a non-standard location.

This problem sounds like what I have been dealing with for several days - since I moved to 4.4.2.

I searched and found what I thought might be info and responded here. Since I changed my ringtones, I have not yet had a reboot.
