S3 sidebar?

So, a while back there was update pushed that added this stupid sidebar to the side of my phone. Is there a way to delete or remove this? It comes up with basically everything I do pointing to some shortcuts that I will never use. It pops up on the left side of the screen and almost everything I type, this sidebar comes up. It really is annoying and makes me want to throw my phone at a wall. Is there any way to disable this? I've tried to look in settings or anything else that might be related and can't find anything. Am I out of luck?

When you went into settings, did you go to Setting > My Device > Display and uncheck Multi window?
