Adding 2nd gmail account

Is there a way I can add a 2nd gmail account to the existing gmail app? Currently, I have added the 2nd account under the email account. Is there a way I can add both to the gmail app? Thanks!

Yes. Go in to your accounts from either settings, or the My Account icon and pick add account. Make sure to turn gmail sync on. Then when you are in gmail app, you can select which account by picking the name at top right corner.

Thanks. I tried doing that but it's not working. When I tap on add account icon, it takes me to accounts screen. Do I add the google account from there? I don't see any gmail account there.

I have three on my phone, just click add account, you'll have a indicator saying you have a google account, click it anyway it will let you add a new one.

Are you by chance running an old version of Froyo? IIRC, this was broken for some phones in 2.2 but fixed in 2.2.1. Of course, the brokenness may have been from way back in the 2.1 days as well...
