At&T N1 can't get 3g?

I did a few searches and couldn't find an answer so I thought I'd make a post.

I just bought an unlocked developers edition N1 from someone last night. I have at&t, I put in my sim card, everything works great except I cannot get 3g. All I can grab is Edge. Is there a way for me to get 3g?

I tried the basic stuff like making sure "connect to 2g only" was not selected.

First, are you sure it's not a Tmo version? I can't pull my battery now to check the ATT model #, but search for that and verify yours.

Then, if you were on a 2g only plan before, I have heard of some folks having to call ATT to get 3g.
